Sun Miao
Sun Miao is a Singapore-based pianist and music educator with a strong foundation in classical piano performance and accompaniment. She began studying piano at the age of five and was admitted to the Shenyang Conservatory of Music Secondary School, where she received rigorous professional training. She later earned a Diploma in Music Performance from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), followed by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wales and a Master of Performance from the University of West London.
Over more than a decade of musical practice, Sun Miao has been active in solo and chamber performances, as well as collaborative accompaniment for strings, woodwinds, brass, Chinese instruments, and choirs. She has performed in school concerts, evening recitals, and various music events. In 2008, she won the Gold Prize at the Young Pianist Competition and has since continued to perform and compete at a national level
in Singapore.
Beyond performance, Sun Miao is a passionate and dedicated piano educator.
She has taught at Cristofori Music School and the Singapore Young Talent Programme of NAFA. Many of her students have achieved top prizes in both local and international piano competitions, a testament to her effective teaching and mentorship.
